General Hospital Spoilers: Peter August Dies, Wes Ramsey Says Goodbye

General Hospital spoilers reveal a relieved Port Charles now that Anna Devane has made sure that Peter August is really and most sincerely dead this time around.

General Hospital Spoilers: Killing Peter The Right Way

GH fans imagined how the dastardly Peter would be killed off for years. In 2018, he even spent an entire summer tied to a bed as we waited for Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to kill him, but alas, he survived and that just kept on surviving. Even Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), two medical professionals, mistakenly believed he was dead last spring, but nope. He lived on.

However, having Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) knee him in the groin, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) whack him over the head with a tire iron, and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) refusing to call an ambulance was the perfect way to end a character who never really fit in. From the start, fans could never accept that Anna would sleep with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and then give birth to his child, and thankfully, we learned she didn’t. But when a character starts like that, it’s hard to form any kind of attachment. Maxie may have wanted to believe in him, but a year ago the show decided to just make him a full-on villain because what else could they do?

And that villain survived it all over the last year. From a fall down the steps and to being locked in a freezer unconscious and near death to gunshot wounds, jumps off cliffs, acid thrown at him, and poisoning, Peter survived but that is over now and Port Charles can breathe again.

General Hospital Spoilers: Peter August Dies, Wes Ramsey Says Goodbye

Wes Ramsey Says Farewell To Peter August

After nearly five years on General Hospital, Wes Ramsey shared a photo of himself walking out of the GH studio for what looks to have been the last time. Next to it, he wrote a farewell message to fans.

“Thank you for taking the journey with me. To those who were kind & supportive, my heart has felt inspired by you. To my friends & family (& the fans everywhere), it has been an honor to give everything I had to this & I will never forget how fun it was to entertain you,” Ramsey wrote. “To the cast & crew, thank you for welcoming me into your world & for giving me a chance to play with you each day. To the writers, producers & directors, thank you for trusting me with all we did together. It was one helluva ride.”

Peter may be dead but you have to admit he was a great actor. But you also know they didn’t do anything with his body so when is he coming back? Another villain in the midst.

  2. […] So, if it’s not Peter, who can it be? We do know Austin has a brother out there he mentioned, explaining to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) that he is autistic, just like Leo Quarertmaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). But he didn’t seem to act as if his brother would be someone he didn’t want to see. Of course, fans do not know Austin’s entire backstory because most of that has been dropped over the last year, so you never know. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how this story plays out. […]
