General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Felicia And Laura Put The Kibosh On Mac’s Return To Work

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will put the kibosh on Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) return to work at the PCPD in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Mac Scorpio Is Putting Stress On His Heart With His Impatience

General Hospital viewers know that Mac is just chomping away at the bit to get back to work at the Port Charles Police Department even though Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is now safe at home and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is dead! But General Hospital viewers have noticed Mac is still in the hospital hooked up to monitors, and may have noticed when he was talking to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) in a recent scene about Felicia having gone to Switzerland, that monitor was showing a pretty high heartbeat. The loss of blood that Mac experienced after being shot has had to have put a lot of stress on his vascular system and his heart as well, and the more impatient he is the more stress he puts on it! Although Mac is not in an intensive care unit room, he’s still pretty close to the Nurses’ Station so they can keep an ear and an eye on him and get there quickly, should alarms go off!

General Hospital Updates – Mac Scorpio May Take A Long Time To Fully Recover

General Hospital viewers know that as seriously as Mac was injured, he may indeed take a long time to fully recover; in Port Charles time, he’s been in there maybe a couple of weeks or so. General Hospital doctors and any viewers who have any medical knowledge won’t be surprised if Mac is in the hospital recovering at least six to eight weeks, as in any serious surgery involving the heart or loss of blood like Mac suffered. Viewers will remember it was truly touching and go and doctors weren’t even sure that he would survive the very complicated surgery to repair all the damage from the bullet! Mac may think he’s ready for full duty but that simply is not the case, even desk duty and poring over files of yet unsolved cases could put too much stress on his heart! Unfortunately for impatient Mac, it is much, much too soon for doctors to be able to safely release him even to light-duty because a policeman’s job can be so stressful!

Both Felicia Scorpio And Mayor Laura Collins Put The Kibosh On Mac Scorpio Returning To Work

General Hospital viewers will see Mac will not be happy and may try to argue his way out of it, but both Felicia and Laura, and likely his General Hospital doctors will put the kibosh on him returning to work! Laura, as mayor of Port Charles, is able to override any bad decisions by any member of any department beneath her, or even good decisions if necessary and Felicia will request Laura’s help to make sure Mac doesn’t go back to work till fully medically ready!

Longtime viewers know that the Scorpios can be a stubborn lot, and Felicia and her husband are pretty equally matched in that department and can tell where Maxie gets her stubbornness as well. Laura assures Mac that even though Port Charles and the PCPD miss him and his leadership, everything is handled and he can take his time to be one hundred percent before returning to work!
