General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Austin Gatlin Holt actually getting a storyline after the writers seemed to forget the character they created when they killed Franco Baldwin actually exists.
General Hospital Spoilers – A Mysterious Man In The Woods
Perhaps it’s appropriate that a year after we first met Austin in the woods when he delivered Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby, we learn there is someone in the woods who Austin (Roger Howarth) does not want to see. He was back at his own home base in Pautuck camping with Maxie and the PC Pioneers when a strange man approached him in the woods.
However, he didn’t seem strange to Austin. We only saw the back of his head, but Austin seemed to know the man he was talking to and told him to leave Maxie alone. While it would have been glorious if it turned out that Austin was talking to his doppelganger, Franco Baldwin, that is also quite the fantasy. Still, fans have their own theories on who Austin was really with when Maxie noticed he’d walked away from a campfire and camp songs.
General Hospital Updates – Fans Have Peter PTSD
The only reason Maxie Jones was giving birth in the woods a year ago is that she was trying to get away from Peter August (Wes Ramsey), a character we saw die earlier this year after Maxie’s mom, Felicia Scorpio, clocked him over the head with a tire iron. Anna Devane didn’t call for help and she watched Peter die right along with us.
However, so many GH fans are so traumatized by nearly five years of this most hated character, they are frightened he could be the one in the woods talking to Austin. While we don’t believe that, those fears definitely came out on social media last week.
So, if it’s not Peter, who can it be? We do know Austin has a brother out there he mentioned, explaining to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) that he is autistic, just like Leo Quarertmaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). But he didn’t seem to act as if his brother would be someone he didn’t want to see. Of course, fans do not know Austin’s entire backstory because most of that has been dropped over the last year, so you never know.
