General Hospital Spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) never saw herself going quite this far to meddle in her daughter’s life, but here she is.

Her chance meeting with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) encouraged her to latch onto the young mother in hopes of using Esme to sow doubt — and space — between Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).

Will Portia attempting to push Spencer and Esme together be her own dirty deed, or will Esme have a hand in the lie they deliver that rocks Spencer’s world?

General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine Is Committed To Trina

Esme is starting to realize that Trina and Spencer have a pretty serious thing going, and few would be able to penetrate their relationship without casting suspicion upon themselves.

She doesn’t need that kind of negative attention from Spencer; she wants him to feel something else for her entirely. Of course, Spencer’s eyes have wandered a bit recently and landed on Esme at times, but he’s not letting that get the best of him right now.

When Portia’s plan with Esme gives him a bit of a nudge in Ace’s mommy’s direction though, it could change everything.

General Hospital Updates – Portia Robinson Sows Doubt

Since Esme can’t remember the past prior to her icy plunge into the waters surrounding Wyndemere, she can’t attest to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) being Ace’s father without any shred of doubt.

When Portia convinces her it would be a good idea to confirm paternity by doing a test against Spencer’s DNA, Esme might not think anything of it.

Clearly, this storyline is going to be teed up for Portia to fix the paternity test so that it appears Spencer is actually Ace’s father — which isn’t a stretch given that he and Esme were together not long before she and Nikolas were.

Will Esme be a part of Portia’s conspiracy to paint Spencer as a daddy though? We don’t know.

The Future Looks Different Now

Esme may or may not be clued in on Portia’s plan. If she is, she stands to struggle with a lot of guilt as she tries to co-parent Ace while acting as though Spencer is his father.

Furthermore, she may run into some road bumps along the way that make her regret ever getting mixed up in this mess.

If she and Spencer start to clash on matters of raising Ace, she might not feel so keen about sharing custody and could renege on the whole thing at any time.

Knowing Portia, she’s probably not thinking that far ahead. She just wants her daughter away from Spencer, and she thinks the best path for making that happen is by convincing Spencer he needs to devote himself to Esme and Ace instead.
