General Hospital Spoilers: Anna’s DVX Crimes-Were They Really Committed By Alex?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) old DVX crimes the WSB arrests her for may not even have been committed by Anna. Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) impersonated Anna for many years, even before she knew she had a twin sister-they were separated at birth, and then there was the memory transfer!

General Hospital Spoilers: Victor Cassadine Set Up Revenge From The Grave

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) set up revenge on Anna from the grave, so to speak, telling her in a pre-recorded message at his will reading “the truth would come out”. Right after the reading of the will she’s arrested by a group of WSB agents led by Agent Hursley (Jeff Griggs) as she’s sitting in the Metro Court. She’s talking to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny wants to help, but she doesn’t want to involve him, and she’s not told the charges.

It turns out old records from when Anna worked as a double agent for the WSB and the DVX were unsealed apparently on orders of Victor. Now they want to prosecute her for DVX “crimes” since Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) is out of the way – but was it even Anna, it could have been Alex!

GH Spoilers: It Was A Long Story

It was a long story – Alex had been impersonating her twin when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) followed her to the midwife who delivered Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Valentin loved Anna since spy school but didn’t know about the twin Alex, and neither did Anna nor Alex until years later in Pine Valley, Pennsylvania.

Alex had first consciously impersonated Anna, believing she was a doppelganger under DVX orders, and later both were put in a memory transfer study, the first of three sets of twins. The second pair were Ryan Chamberlain and Kevin Collins (both Jon Lindstrom) and the third Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). That’s why Anna had believed that Peter was her son, until she found proof those were Alex’s memories, not hers-so the DVX crimes may have been Alex’s too!

General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Devane Was A Double Agent

Anna was said to have been a double agent for the DVX and WSB and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) covered her crimes up-before Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) was born. But considering Peter was only a couple of years older than Robin and Alex was impersonating her when he was born, even those crimes could have been Alex! This happened after Robert and Anna divorced and he was involved with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

It’s quite likely then that the crimes the WSB wants to prosecute Anna for now were actually committed by Alex impersonating Anna. If Anna remembers those crimes they could be Alex’s memories, which should be her defense in court.
