General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) continuing to be married to Chase (Josh Swickard) out of pity while pining for Michael (Chad Duell). But we all know that Willow can be a bit fickle and wishy-washy, so does she belong with her husband, Chase, or her ex-husband, Michael? You tell us!
General Hospital’s Impossible Triangle?
Usually, a triangle on a soap has a bona fide villain on one side and it’s hard to know who to root for. In the case of Willow, Chase, and Michael, none of them are villains although it can be argued that they all have done the wrong thing at one time or another.
Chase was wrong to let Willow believe he was having an affair with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) just so she would marry Michael and give him a better chance of winning custody of Wiley from a convict named Nelle (Chloe Lanier). But isn’t Willow wrong to marry Chase just because she thought he was dying and then stay married to him because he may or may not be paralyzed for good. Health issues or not, a lie is a lie.
However, both Chase and Willow believed they were doing the right things when they lied to one another and both believe they are extremely self-sacrificing while Michael just sits there and goes along with everything because he is Michael and his mother trained him that way.
Can Willow Have The Best Of Both Worlds?
Willow is a young woman who escaped from a cult her mother brought her into and then became a school teacher before switching to nursing school. She seems like the perfect humanitarian but she does seem to enjoy the life Michael is giving her, which sounds like more than the life Chase can give her. It’s fun to be a Quartermaine, right Willow? But that still leaves her in the middle of this love triangle that seems to have no easy answers.
She can easily tell Chase the truth and be with Michael and Chase will get over it. But maybe Willow doesn’t want to. Still, eventually, she is going to have to choose or maybe a choice will be made for her. When that choice is made, should it be Michael or Chase for Willow?
