General Hospital (GH) Spoilers And Rumors: Chase Not Paralyzed, Manipulating Willow To Keep Her?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may not be all that paralyzed, and he may be testing Willow Tait Chase, (Katelyn MacMullen). Viewers may find out in future episodes of General Hospital that he suspects she is still with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell)!
General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Dr. Hamilton Finn Only Ran A Testing Instrument Across Harrison Chase’s Feet
General Hospital viewers will remember that when Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tested Chase, he only ran a testing instrument across the bottom of his feet. He was looking for “the Babinski sign” which would mean if something was abnormal in Chase’s nerves his big toe would flex out. If Chase’s nerves or spine were not abnormal, his toes should curl under. However, as General Hospital viewers will recall, Chase had no response at all. Either he’s not ticklish on his feet or he’s faking!
Finn didn’t do the other test, which would have involved someone helping Chase to sit up so he could test his knees with a reflex hammer. But many very observant General Hospital viewers picked up on something else in that scene. Whether it was a mistake that should have been an outtake or it was in the script is unknown –but as Finn was coming into Chase’s hospital room to check him out, Chase’s legs were clearly moving under the covers!
Some fans were abuzz on social media pointing out the presumed filming error that was left in and not cut and refilmed – if that was what it was, and not something foreshadowing that maybe Chase isn’t as paralyzed as he seems! No one else in the scene appeared to notice Chase kicking his legs under the bedcovers either! The question is, why would Chase feign paralysis?
General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Could Harrison Chase Be Faking His Paralysis To Test Willow Tait Chase?
General Hospital viewers will remember that Willow has gotten herself into quite the conundrum after delaying telling Chase that she and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were staying together! One cannot really blame her – Michael certainly doesn’t – because who has the heart to break the heart of a dying man? She and Michael both believed that Chase was on his last legs – no pun intended – and Michael understands her deathbed marriage to Chase.
The only problem is that Chase didn’t die, which is good news for Chase but puts Michael and Willow’s relationship in limbo! Now that the marriage to Chase is legal, he is paralyzed and she might have to allow him to live in the gatehouse on the Quartermaine property to help take care of him as he recovers! General Hospital viewers will recall that Chase is a detective – and maybe he suspects that his condition caused Willow or maybe both Michael and Willow to pity him and that the marriage wasn’t really out of wanting to marry him.
Living in the gatehouse would allow Chase a close up view of Willow’s and Michael’s comings and goings, and who knows? Maybe he would even get some information out of Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theodore Olson) – without even trying. Wiley could easily talk about something that maybe he doesn’t quite understand and tell Chase that he saw Mommy kissing Daddy! Chase wouldn’t be testing Willow out of meanness – he does love her and doesn’t want her to be with him out of pity, but because she wants to be!
