General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Considers Her Next Steps As She Prepares For A New Career

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will take some time to consider her next steps as she has recently been released from Spring Ridge prison. A recent script leak shows she will go back to college to pursue a career as a teacher of law, rather than an attorney in upcoming episodes of General Hospital.

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis Has To Find A Job That Doesn’t Require A Law License

General Hospital viewers will recall that Alexis lost her license to practice law, and she has to find a job that doesn’t require a law license. Of course she could try to get it reinstated, but that may require her to wait a certain amount of time. It may be difficult considering she has done prison time, but with her years of experience practicing law and being on the other side of the situation as a prisoner as well, she realizes that maybe the best way to spend the rest of her life gainfully employed may be to teach law.

Even though she was granted a full pardon, it may be easier and quicker to go back to college to learn to be a law teacher. General Hospital viewers will recall the huge help she was in getting Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) released. A leaked script which should air by the end of the year shows her in the law class of a Professor Khan (not yet cast).

General Hospital Spoilers – Professor Khan Knows Who Alexis Davis Is

General Hospital viewers will see that the professor knows who Alexis is; he’s read an article of hers in a legal trade journal “Law Review” and compliments her on her stellar points. He is curious as to why she is taking his class, and Alexis tells him that she is making a career change and instead of being an attorney in the courtroom, she has decided she wants to do what he is doing – teaching law.

She notes that she used to be a defense attorney, and he knows that but he thinks she’s wasting her time in his class. Professor Khan tells her she doesn’t belong there in his class, not understanding why she would have time to take his seminar or why she would even want to. But he puts it that she is wasting both of their time, and that doesn’t sound like a compliment, although it could be taken two ways, as General Hospital viewers know!

General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Considers Her Next Steps As She Prepares For A New Career

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Professor Khan Demeaning Of Alexis Davis, Or Perhaps Of Himself?

General Hospital viewers could certainly take Khan’s telling Alexis that she’s wasting both his time and hers as trying to get rid of her. But the big question for General Hospital viewers is whether he is being demeaning to Alexis, or perhaps himself? Maybe the professor is so impressed by Alexis’ career in law, which he obviously has followed, that he thinks she should be teaching him, instead of the other way around! Alexis is likely to take his comments in the negative, however – that he is thinking she is a very poor example of an attorney or one who made foolish choices and now must pay with her career.

After all, Alexis is prone to self-pity – she may hide it well, but it usually leads her to hiding in the bottle, which is the last thing that she needs to do! Her one big problem other than alcoholism has been getting involved with the wrong men – over and over and over, and even when she had good men she’d break it off. This is what she was trying to explore with both Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and the late Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) before Neil’s death by overdose after a romantic night with her drove her over the edge – she literally found him dead in her bed in the morning. Time will tell whether this episode where she attends Professor Khan’s seminar will tell the tale if he’s for her, or against her!
