General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Trina Shuts Curtis’ DNA Test Down — And He Finds Another Way to Get Results

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) isn’t ready for the relationship that her new stepdad, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), is hoping to have with her. Curtis’ mind is still reeling from Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) half-hearted confession that he may be Trina’s biological father — and that she’s always known this since she first discovered she was pregnant. She knew when she lied to Curtis a few years ago upon his asking about the timeline of Trina’s pregnancy lining up with their affair. She’s still trying to paint her actions as well-intentioned, but Curtis’ focus just isn’t — and can’t be — on Portia right now. He’s far more attuned to the needs of his stepdaughter who is potentially his biological daughter.

General Hospital Spoilers — Portia And Marcus Won’t Push The Issue

Portia and Marcus truly don’t care what Trina wants to do. Marcus might be feeling upset about the reality of the issue they’re facing, but he would never stand in the way of whatever will make Trina happy. He knows he will never be replaced in Trina’s heart and that Curtis being her biological father won’t change their relationship, but it still stings. On the other hand, there is a chance Marcus is Trina’s biological father. If he is, he’d love to know — and he’d love for her to know it, too. Portia is devastated that this will likely change her relationship with Trina, and she may not even have one with her again.

General Hospital Updates – Curtis Wants A Paternity Test

Curtis wants a paternity test because he thinks it’s best that they all work with the facts in front of them and figure out how to move forward. Trina isn’t ready to move forward just yet though. She needs time to grieve what her mother has done to her — more time than Curtis apparently needs to come to terms with what his new wifey has done to him. Trina isn’t ready for the possibility that Marcus isn’t her father. Her world has just changed so drastically, and she cannot mentally withstand more changes right now. Curtis’ wants will have to wait, right?

Stella May Be The Answer

Wrong! Curtis wants to respect Trina’s wishes, but he can’t move on with his own life — or his marriage — until he knows the truth. He’s said all he possibly can to Portia, and now thor future is completely up in the air. Curtis might have himself convinced that he will be able to overlook this if the results of a DNA test go in the direction he hopes, but he’s wrong.

If Trina isn’t his daughter, he will grieve the loss of what might have been, and he will still know Portia was comfortable with lying to him about the possibility. If she is his daughter, it would be nice to think they could all be a happy family, but he can’t trust her mother, and Trina will always be a reminder of that. When Curtis chats with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and she mentions the match on the ancestry website she and Trina both used, Curtis might use his retired P.I. skills to track down the mystery account Trina abandoned to see if she really was Stella’s match.
