General Hospital Spoilers: When We Last Left Drew Cain
The last time we saw Drew Cain (then played by Billy Miller) he was getting into the hospital elevator on his way to catch a chartered flight to Afghanistan and return the money Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) stole from there all those years ago when they were in the service. Then, we learned Drew’s plane went down, courtesy of the vile Peter August (Wes Ramsey) who was afraid Drew would learn he was involved with his kidnapping that turned Drew into Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Drew was presumed dead, Sam (Kelly Monaco) cried for a hot minute, but then raged at Peter this year at Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter’s wedding when she learned he was responsible for Drew’s alleged death. We all knew in our hearts that Drew would one day be found, but it was good to see Sam actually become angry that her daughter no longer had her father around. It showed she truly did love and care for Drew after all.
Should It Be Dante Falconeri Or Drew Cain For Sam McCall?
The last we saw of Drew, he also thought Sam would be with Jason forever and not dump him a year later after realizing that a safe life with Drew and her children wasn’t so bad after all. That gives Drew an immediate opening because she did truly love him for him at one point. However, she is also clearly falling for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), which can definitely complicate things.
We can see Dante and Sam growing closer as they try to find and rescue Drew, but what will happen when Sam finally sees him again — this man she had a child with? Will all that they had come flooding back to her or is she too involved with Dante now? Should Drew decide to fight for Sam while reuniting his family?
