General Hospital viewers will remember that Spencer finally revealed he was in Port Charles when he showed up at Wyndemere Castle in a recent General Hospital episode, after being away at school for literally years! After surprising his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and grandmother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who happened to be there, he decided to make himself known to the rest of his friends.

He and Nikolas caught up over a not entirely enjoyable father and son lunch at the Metro Court, where Spencer almost outed himself as the stalker but quickly made up a story his father believed as to why he knew about Ava Cassadine (Maura West) being gifted with a Plexiglas enrobed cockroach on Valentine’s Day. He then went up to the new Metro Court pool on the roof of the Metro Court and greeted a surprised Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who have just become a real couple, with a friendly but sarcastic “Watch those hands, townie!” directed at Cam.

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall Spencer and Cameron have been romantic rivals since they were pre-teens! Trina had gone from the pool, a bit miffed that Joss and Cam had referred to “Victor” as “her imaginary friend”. She had gone to retrieve her cover up and returned to see him with Joss and Cam, exclaiming that they were just full of surprises!

General Hospital Spoilers – Trina Robinson Gets More Of Spencer Cassadine’s Background Story

General Hospital viewers can imagine that Trina got more of Spencer’s background story from him and perhaps from Joss and Cam as well. They have more in common than they realize, both having fathers who faked their deaths! Trina and Spencer can truly understand each other on that point, although Trina has gotten over her anger at Marcus Taggert’s (Réal Andrews) faking his death after realizing it was to keep her and her mother safe from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his bunch!

Spencer has been away at school in France for years – he was just a kid when Nikolas disappeared and was presumed dead. He may not even know about the presumed death of his favorite maternal uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) although his grandmother probably contacted him about it. Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that he hadn’t seen Sonny since shortly before Laura sent him to school in France for his own safety, after Sonny prevented Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) from taking him.

Valentin probably meant no harm but no one knew Valentin that well back then, except possibly Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) after not seeing him for many years. Trina will encourage Spencer to have a “coming home” party at Wyndemere Castle so his homecoming can be properly celebrated, but she’ll have an ulterior motive – she’s trying to get him to accept his stepmother Ava and trying to get Ava and Nikolas back together! She’ll likely invite Ava to the shindig!
