General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Blasts Lucy, Blames Her For Brook Lynn Being Attacked!

ABC General Hospital spoilers tease that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will lash out at Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) this week on GH, as Brook Lynn Quartermaine (temporarily played by Briana Lane) recovers from her stabbing attack at the hands of Nelle Benson-Jerome (Chloe Lanier) backstage at the Nurses’ Ball telethon.

Brook Lynn May Never Get Her Voice Back Again

Considering that Nelle stabbed her in the throat with a pair of sewing scissors left backstage in the wardrobe room, and she nearly bled out, Brook Lynn of course is lucky to just be alive; Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) found her just in time! However, she may never recover from the severe damage to her vocal cords that were caused by the attack, and if Lucy had been paying attention to anything around her and what was going on backstage instead of flitting around like her usual ditzy self, she may either have been able to spot Nelle in the wardrobe room and called for assistance – or locked her in the room, therefore preventing the attack entirely, or at least found her before Dustin and Lulu did!

Brook Lynn had been set to sing at the Nurses’ Ball and was also to be the “voice of Deception” which of course is Lucy’s revived makeup company, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) being the “face of Deception” as viewers should recall. Ned was also in the area at the time, as was Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) because they had performed a duet earlier, and after Olivia had tried to call Brook Lynn with no answer, and accused Ned of turning into his father, for kicking her out of the Quartermaine mansion, he went looking for her and when he couldn’t find her, Dustin and Lulu had offered to track her down, leading to their finding her in a pool of blood.

Ned Likely Feels He Is Ultimately To Blame And Makes Lucy His Scapegoat

Of course, Lucy is not to blame for what happened to Brook Lynn. She was busy as mistress of ceremonies and couldn’t pull guard duty backstage, although hiring extra security probably wouldn’t have hurt! Ned is already full of guilt for kicking Brook Lynn out of the house over her selling her ELQ stock, which led to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for taking over, and then finding out she had been stabbed and was near death! Brook Lynn lost a lot of blood laying there on the floor before Lulu and Dustin found her!

Ned knows that Brook Lynn may never sing again as well, and has been a musician and singer himself as Eddie Maine years ago, and still performing at Nurses’ Balls, he knows what her music means to her, and that probably makes him feel even more guilty than he already does over the rest of it! Yet, he cannot bear to think that if he had not kicked Brook Lynn out of the Quartermaine mansion she may not have been hanging out in the Metro Court ballroom so far ahead of when she was to perform (if Ned and Olivia even knew – Brook Lynn may not have told them) and she may have been safe at home instead of becoming a victim of Nelle! So, it would not surprise anyone if he makes Lucy his scapegoat and lashes out at her for not keeping a better eye on things backstage!
