General Hospital Spoilers – A Case Of Mistaken Identity Turns Into A Night Of Passion

General Hospital viewers will recall from a recent episode of General Hospital, that Martin and Lucy started a wild fling after Lucy sat on his lap thinking he was Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) dressed as Santa Claus. This was at General Hospital in the children’s ward when it was time for Santa’s visit and Lucy were acting as Mrs. Claus. Then Laura Collins (Genie Francis) arrived and wanted some time alone with her husband, which was understandable since she and Martin had been away for many months in a safe house because of threats from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Cyrus had later denied sending the assassin to the safe house, citing a born-again experience to Laura when she visited him in prison, although he didn’t deny the original hits being put out on his sister and brother many months ago. She sent Martin as “Santa’s understudy” to take over Kevin’s Santa duties and as a result, Lucy and Martin became involved sexually and romantically!

General Hospital viewers will recall that Lucy is the co-owner and CEO of Deception Cosmetics, while Martin is Valentin’s attorney. Valentin is Lucy’s business partner, a silent partner, but a business partner nonetheless. This could create a conflict of interest since Valentin likely uses Martin for his attorney in the Deception Cosmetics business as well as for his personal legal dealings. Lucy and Martin continue to see each other after that first one-night stand, which was a doozy! It would seem like it was such a doozy that Lucy’s starting to say “Doc who?!” when referring to her ex-husband Kevin, whose marriage to Laura she must have disregarded when she sat on Santa’s lap – obviously!

General Hospital viewers know that infidelity has been Lucy’s big problem all along – she’s never been able to stay true to a husband. She cheated on Kevin many times with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) – who coincidentally was Laura’s first husband, as longtime General Hospital viewers know – and she’s been married five times, and had at least twice as many lovers! Valentin knows nothing about Lucy’s past love life and is not interested in that. He is concerned about the attorney he uses for Deception Cosmetics having a sexual relationship with his business partner, and it becomes a conflict of interest! He tells Martin that although it is nothing personal, he’s going to have to choose between Lucy and being his attorney!

General Hospital viewers know that Martin should know that being lovers with someone who could be considered a client, even if indirectly, could be construed as a conflict of interest. General Hospital viewers could tell that Martin has been taken with Lucy as well as she has been taken with him, and they admitted on that first night that they’d had their eyes on each other for quite a long time! This will be a tough decision for Martin because he hasn’t had a girlfriend in presumably a long, long time although he has three ex-wives which apparently are costing him quite a bit in alimony! Valentin will not mince words when he warns Martin that he cannot mix business with pleasure, meaning he can no longer have pleasure with Lucy at all!
