General Hospital Spoilers: Katherine is Cody’s Mom — And Nikolas is His Dad
General Hospital spoilers reveals Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is quickly developing a reputation around Port Charles as someone people either love or — don’t love. His identity has been a little bit questionable, but most people haven’t thought twice about it since his childhood pal, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), has vouched for him. We’ve only heard bits and pieces about their past together, and some of it has given us pause about Dante more so than Cody. Still, Cody’s recent decision to get a DNA test and find out if Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is his father has some people unnerved, and others brimming with anticipation. What’s being left out of the equation is the validity of Cody’s story that Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) was his mother, despite how many people assumed right away that he was the son of Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans).
General Hospital Spoilers — Katherine and Nikolas Almost Wed
Katherine’s past was quite checkered, much like Cody’s. During the last couple of years of her life, she was embroiled in a scheme to entrap Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) no matter what the cost. It was Katherine’s goal to marry into the Cassadine family and enjoy the fruits of their fortune as Nikolas’ wife. However, sharing how she planned to do that ultimately led to her demise.
GH Spoilers Indicate Katherine Died, Twice!
Katherine’s first death happened as she slipped off the parapet when the railing was loosened in hopes Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) would be the one to fall to her death. Fortunately for Katherine, Helena was there and at the ready with an experimental drug that brought Katherine back to life. However, it was months later when Helena was in a coma that Katherine shared her plan to trap Nikolas with a fake pregnancy and marry him. Helena had awakened and heard every word, and on Nikolas and Katherine’s wedding night, Helena pushed Katherine off the same parapet to her second death.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nik Doesn’t Know, But Cody Does
Cody has come to Port Charles in search of a necklace — possibly stolen by Katherine all those years ago. He never laid eyes on it until Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) found it among Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) last effects. Why did Peter have a necklace Katherine stole from Helena?
It’s quite probable that Cody already knows he’s a Cassadine, and he’s probably been brought back into this picture by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) — who knew he would need someone to charm Britt into opening up Peter’s belongings. Cody was just the guy to do it. However, he had to keep his identity as much of a secret as he could, and thus, he lied about who his mother was so that no one would suspect a Cassadine connection from Katherine’s past. Now, he’s been forced to go along with the charade of possibly being Mac’s son when he knows Nikolas is his dad. Will Cody come clean, or is the DNA test just the first step in a bigger charade?
