General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Becomes Drew’s Ally, But Was It All a Setup?
General Hospital Spoilers reveal Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has entered the picture, and things are about to get complicated. While Cyrus seems to be interested in befriending Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and offering him protection, there are hints that he may have his own agenda.
Rumor has it Drew will be jumped by several inmates at Pentonville, leaving him in a precarious situation and possibly scoring an extended stay at GH where Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) can at least hold the guy’s hand. Fortunately, Drew should be able to defend himself thanks to a shank that he had received from his buddy Cyrus. The shank was cleverly hidden in a copy of The Bible — which is on point for the character Cyrus keeps insisting he has evolved into.
General Hospital Spoilers — A Gift with a Meaning
Despite Cyrus’ reputation, he gave Drew a gift that seemed innocent enough: a Bible. However, upon closer inspection, Drew found a shank hidden inside the pages. At the time, Drew likely wondered whether Cyrus’ gift of protection was actually a warning to watch his back, as though he was promising an attack. But perhaps Cyrus already knew there were others with designs on getting to Drew.
GH Spoilers Hint Carly is Kept in the Dark
It won’t take long for trouble to find Drew in prison. Rumor has it he may soon be attacked by several inmates, leaving him bruised and battered. However, he will be able to fend them off with the shank that Cyrus has given him. Drew could realize that he may not have survived the attack if he didn’t have that handy tool. This realization may put Cyrus’ gift in a new light and make Drew question his motives.
It’s likely that Laura would caution Drew about her brother, but she’s out of the country right now and no one is going to make any concessions for an inmate to get ahold of the Mayor while she’s in Russia. Carly would probably have any opinion about Drew associating with Cyrus, but he may choose not to loop her in on who he has or hasn’t been involved with behind bars. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t need her ex-husband’s help.
General Hospital Spoilers — Is Sonny an Ally?
Cyrus’ interest in Drew has raised many questions. Is he genuinely trying to be an ally, or is he setting Drew up for something sinister? There are several possibilities to consider. Cyrus definitely wants to get back into the inner circle with his sister, and it would surprise no one to learn he still has an interest in getting to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). It’s possible that his covert attack on Drew could be the means to getting him to run to Sonny for protection, sparking a war over a different kind of territory – cell block turf.
This is Cyrus’ area and Sonny might be wise to be careful about who he offers his help to from the outside. Something tells us this won’t be the last attack on Drew either. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
