General Hospital (GH) spoilers say Lynn Herring has a lot to celebrate these days, as the multi-talented actress is celebrating over 35 years as Lucy Coe in Port Charles. In fact, the stunning beauty recently opened up about her long, successful career and her character’s transformation from a mousy librarian to a sexpot schemer, so to speak. Here’s what she has to say.
General Hospital Spoilers: Lynn Herring Celebrates 35 Years In Port Charles
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Lynn opens up about the good, the bad, and the importance of a good shade of lipstick for her character as she went from quiet and meek to a hot and heavy sex kitten overnight. In other words, its was a lot of fun for Lynn!
Recalling her earlier days on the set of the show and her character’s transformation, Lynn puts it this way, “Being so demure and trying to keep all that under wraps was so fun because it was like I had a secret. I’d go to work and even a lot of the cast members I was working with didn’t know that Lucy was going to become something else. It’s interesting, the way the directors and other actors treat you when you are the mousy character is completely different than when you are the slut!”

Lynn went on to say that she enjoyed wearing more suggestive clothing and lipstick as her character went from good girl to bad girl overnight. She says that the change felt good not only for Lucy, but also for her in a personal sense, too. It was also the most fun she’d had as her character during the time as well.

She continues, “When I came on, I was wearing beige cardigans. They had to find these hilariously oversized clothes for the first part of demure Lucy. And when I got to just be in my underwear and men’s shirt and put on that lipstick for the reveal, that was unforgettable for me – the freedom being unleashed!”
