General Hospital Spoilers: Nine Months Of Story Needs Fallout
GH fans just watched nine months of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls acting like the man he would have been if he didn’t pull that trigger as an adolescent and begin his life as a mobster. (Remember that story where Sonny dreamed of what could have been after learning he killed Margaux’s father a few years back?)
There was a lot of Sonny in Mike, hence why many fans knew him as Smike. As Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pointed out, his inner Sonny wanted to escape when they were in Corinth and Sonny then explained to her a different inner Sonny. And it’s also very clear that Sonny isn’t even angry at Nina no matter how much he tried to be.
It’s Not Like Carly’s Lifelong Dream Didn’t Almost Come True
If Sonny’s disappearance taught his wife Carly (Laura Wright) anything, it’s that Sonny is not even the love of her life. That has always been Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and the pair even admitted that and were ready to consummate a marriage when Sonny waltzed right in and put a stop to that.
If Carly has always been in love with Jason, why can’t Sonny’s feelings for Carly waver now that he is home and experienced something different with someone else for the better part of a year? There is definite chemistry between Maurice Benard and Cynthia Watros and Carson needs a shakeup. If Brenda Barrett is never to return, why can’t that shakeup be Nina Reeves?
For years, all Sonny and Carly did was marry, hurt each other, divorce, and marry again. It’s now been six years since Carly and Sonny last wed so they are definitely due for divorce court again. With Carly and Jason giving one another those longing eyes and a whole new Sonny emerging with Nina in Nixon Falls, this is exactly what GH and Carson need right now. Sonny and Carly have been through a butt load they have history. That’s what makes them a couple! The good the bad and then some. Sorry but Nina is a lunatic, she has lost her touch to reality (if she ever had it). I for one do. Oy believe that Sonny could be in love with her, especially after what she has done. I will definitely it watch GH In any case the long time viewers will definitely give up on this show
