General Hospital Spoilers: The Love Of A Lifetime?
Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright, then Sarah Brown) began as lovers back in the 1990s and ended up lifelong friends. They have never both been in love with one another, despite the fact that Jason claimed that Michael was his when he was first born. They tried romance many years later and that fizzled quick, but Carly has never been able to accept Jason with anyone else.
Robin (Kimberly McCullough) wasn’t good enough. Courtney (Alicia Leigh-Willis) wasn’t good enough. Elizabeth (Rebecca Budig) wasn’t good enough. And for the longest time, Sam (Kelly Monaco) wasn’t even good enough. She’s even been banished now because she doesn’t want mob life. “Be gone,” is basically what Carly said. She also wasn’t thrilled with Jason having feelings for Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and jumped on the first excuse to marry Jason and end that as soon as she could.
It’s quite clear that Carly has had feelings for Jason since the first time she met him playing pool and hopped into bed with him. But might Jason develop real feelings for Carly aside from friendship?
Jason Will Do Anything For Carly
Jason loves Carly, but there has never been any sign that he is in love with her. However, Sam was right that Jason would always choose Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard) over her and she just couldn’t take it anymore. With Sonny gone (for now), Carly is what Jason has as a substitute. She even wants him to become Donna’s Daddy and Jason wants to stay away from that as idea as possible.
Still, he has been devoted to her for so long, there might be some feelings lurking underneath. Or is that just what Carly hopes for as Jason looks like he is being led to his death at the idea of marrying her? Could Jason do it? Could he really fall for Carly?
