General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Claims Drew Changed After Pentonville, But His Behavior Tells a Different Story
General Hospital Spoilers leak Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) keep pigeon-holing Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) change in behavior into being a result of his time in Pentonville.
While he has entertained their explanations for decisions he’s made that they don’t like, he is rather keen on them. In other words, Drew likes the new Drew and doesn’t intend to change.
But is he really as in control as he thinks, and did all of this truly start with prison — and not sometime before? Recall that just last year, Drew was rebounding from a stronghold that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) held over him after brainwashing him.
While it seemed like Drew got all of those kinks worked out, are we really sure?
General Hospital Spoilers — Victor is Dead
Just because Victor is dead doesn’t mean his reign of terror can’t live on. Just ask Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) is still wreaking havoc, telling lies, and acting completely out of character for herself due to Victor’s little game.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the tarot cards he gifted her are a key part of his messy little game. Is it possible that Victor is still messing with Drew’s mind after all this time, too?
GH Spoilers Claim Drew Took the Fall
Carly was actually guilty of insider trading. Drew tried to tell her not to get involved in his business deal with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but she just wouldn’t listen.
Then she landed herself in a world of trouble when the merger between ELQ and Aurora didn’t happen, and she was left selling off everything she owned just to be okay.
But that was only the beginning of her problems. When she was faced with going to prison, it was Drew who stepped up and took the blame for her — and he did so without even consulting Sam first. He made a unilateral decision that was going to severely impact his own child without any regard for how Sam or Scout Cain (Cosette Abinanate) would feel about it.
So, does Drew really always ask Sam for her take on things first, or is Sam overlooking that stark change in Drew’s behavior back before he ever went to prison?
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly and Sam Come to a Crossroads
Sam has been nothing but kind to Carly. When she wasn’t ready to admit that she and Drew were becoming more than friends, Sam stopped pressing her and gave her grace.
When Drew was carted off to prison, Sam made sure to swing by and check in on Carly frequently — despite having Drew’s child at home to take care of and her own life to tend to.
She and Carly have certainly come a long way, but they may be forced to admit how little has changed when they end up on opposite sides of the fence arguing over Drew.
Will Scout be caught in the crossfire and Drew and Sam struggle to co-parent for the first time? Something tells us they’re not out of those woods yet. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out.
