General Hospital Spoilers: Michael and Dex Take Sonny Down — and Nina Needs Carly to Protect Everyone
General Hospital spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are bent on seeing that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) never again sees the light of day. His reign of drug terror over Port Charles will come to an end, and Michael pictures a redeemed Corinthos name, leaving his father in the past. It’s too bad no one else is going to be on board with that plan — most certainly not his mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). When Sonny’sbusiness is up in the air as he navigates control of it from behind bars, Carly will step up in a major way to make sure he maintains his stronghold on his territory.
General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Has Second Thoughts
Along the way, Michael has struggled with his feelings toward his father. He’s done a good job at keeping Sonny at arm’s length; that way, he doesn’t really have to face how he feels about him. The truth is, the need for revenge ended long ago, and much of the anger fueling Michael right now has little to do with Sonny and everything to do with how ticked her is that he can’t save Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
Sonny has become his whipping post for every pent-up feeling he’s harboring about losing the love of his life. When he starts to wonder once again whether he really wants to take his father down, Dex will be there to remind him what he wants doesn’t matter anymore.
GH Spoilers Hint Dex Convinces Him to Carry On
Regardless of Michael’s position on things, Dex is going to carry on with the plan as intended. He might think Michael just doesn’t have the nerve to see this plan through, but Dex does, because he needs out of the business pronto. He wants to be with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), and he knows that she won’t tolerate him being a mobster’s henchman for much longer. The sooner Dex can get Sonny into lock-up, the better off his personal life with Joss will be.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Calls Carly for Help
When everything hits the fan and Sonny needs help, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be at his beck and call. Of course, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will be Sonny’s first call, and she’ll be working morning, noon, and night to get him free. However, Sonny is a known flight risk and isn’t likely to be granted bail pending arraignment or a trial. While Diane is working on his legal affairs, Sonny will need someone else holding down the fort before news starts spreading that his territory is unmanned and he’s out of the mix for good.
As soon as the Five Families know Sonny’s ground is at risk, they’ll move in like vultures. Nina isn’t the type of woman that could ever stop that — but Carly is. When Sonny tells Nina he needs her to call on Carly for help keeping things in check for him, it’s going to feel like a knife twisting in her back.
