General Hospital Spoilers: What Happens To Dex Once Jason Returns, Traitor Exposed?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is coming back to Port Charles, New York and the fan base could not be happier.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has never been in greater need of his bestie bro, but Jason’s return begs the question of what that means for his current right-hand man, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Dex was appointed the successor to the role that Jason held for years, and now that Stone Cold is coming home, where does this leave Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) boyfriend?
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Dex?
Dex has filled in admirably (mostly) for Jason and is now loyal to his mob boss. But that wasn’t always the case.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) initially hired Dex to take down Sonny, and these two are colluding behind his back, along with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), to “protect” him.
Call it what you will, but these three are deceiving Sonny, who values loyalty above all else. How will Sonny react when he finds out that Dex was originally a plant? We’re guessing not well.
In fact, 2024 preview spoilers indicate that Sonny gives Dex an order that he balks at, an order that Stone Cold would have no problem in carrying out.
GH Spoilers: Will Dex Be Replaced?
This probably paves the way for Jason to reclaim the top spot as Sonny’s enforcer and trusted ally. Even stalwart Brick (Stephen A. Smith), who never seemed to fully trust Dex, can’t hold a candle to Jason!
Once Sonny finds out that Dex nearly sent him to prison, his days as a confidant are over. Sonny will be mad at Michael, too, but he’s his son and he can’t erase him like he can a disloyal employee. In other words, Sonny is stuck with mediocre Michael but he certainly can do away with Dex!
General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan Returns
Because Dex is Joss’ boyfriend, it’s unlikely that Sonny will put him on a meat hook again, or worse. Dex won’t be eliminated but he surely won’t have a place at the table once Sonny discovers how he came to be in his organization.
