Now, it looks like everyone is ready for Liz to embrace a fresh start. Her oldest son, Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) has just gone away to college; her other sons are old enough to fend for themselves most of the time. During the week of April 17th, Elizabeth is going to shower Austin with compliments. Perhaps he does something rather heroic again, or maybe he is appointed to fill Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) shoes as the new hospital Co-Chief of Staff alongside Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). Regardless, it’ll be new territory for Elizabeth and Austin to engage in any kind of back-and-forth banter or flirtation, and rumor has it the fans are here for it. Roger Howarth and Rebecca Herbst were married on-screen and delighted fans with their chemistry in the past. Many mourned the loss of Franco rather hard and would love to see Liz move on with a new version of him.

General Hospital Updates – Romance Could Be in Their Future

It might be a stretch to think that showering Austin with compliments borders on a flirtation means anything. After all, Elizabeth has been spending time with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) again, and his daughter, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love). However, it seems like they’re leveling out in a pretty good place where they are enjoying a mutual friendship between exes. Finn isn’t trying to come to her rescue anymore, and Liz isn’t pushing him away. At last, they’ve found their balance — just not as lovers. Does this leave the door wide open for Austin?

If Austin is in and Finn is out, where does that leave him? After his split from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), it took a while for him to feel interested in anyone again. We might expect the same from him post-break-up with Liz. Finn isn’t the kind of guy who jumps from one woman to the next.
