When he left, he knew Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) would only continue to move on with her life — without him. But this was the best move for Cam, not only for his college education and sports opportunity, but to let his heart heal in a space where he wasn’t bumping into his former bestie-turned-girlfriend around every corner.

Cam isn’t going to be off-screen for long. His portrayer, William Lipton, told Soaps in Depth he’s busy focusing on college right now. So it made sense for his character of Cam to take on the same lifestyle. They’ll both be back on-screen this summer, and word on the street is that Cam will have a pretty juicy storyline waiting for him.
When he parted ways with Port Chuck, he was still wearing his heart on his sleeve for Joss, who has long since moved on with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). The two may not be an item anymore by the time Cam comes back to town, but that doesn’t mean he’ll still be carrying a torch for his ex.

When Cam caught up with Esme at Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, the last thing he expected was that he would feel sorry for her. Bringing her along to his goodby party was something none of his friends or family would have seen coming, but they accepted it. After all, it isn’t unlike Cam to take in every wounded bird hoping to nurse it back to help. Of course, no one mentioned that Cam and Esme would continue to keep in touch while he’s out of town. That could serve as the foundation for a pretty sultry summertime romance when he comes back around.
