General Hospital Spoilers: Katelyn MacMullen Explains Willow's Latest Deathbed Wish

General Hospital spoilers reveal Willow continuing to be Carly on an unearned pedestal. To Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), being mean to her when she was a third-grade teacher is much, much worse than letting her believe her mother was dead. Having the woman who kidnapped her and pretended to be her mother pimping her out to a cult leader was also not as bad as a personality clash with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Sure Is A Hypocrite

Willow forgives Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) for all their transgressions but still believes Nina is the end-all and be-all of horrible people. Some fans expected that Willow might show some grace as she lay near death’s door and that’s why so many were shocked and horrified when Willow asked Nina to leave Carly alone and get along with her but did not ask the same of Carly, the one who instigated this entire feud to begin with.

At least Katelyn MacMullen has tried to get in her character’s warped psyche and explain the motives behind this last shocking action. She even thinks that what Willow did offers an olive branch to Nina, when fans just saw it as yet another slap in the face.

What Is Willow Thinking?

“Willow is kind of opening up to Nina being in her life,” Katelyn MacMullen said in the May 12, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “It’s just such tender ground because they don’t know each other, really, and to find out that you’re mother and daughter after having such a relationship — and to find it out when you’re knocking on death’s door? I just don’t know how you reconcile with that.”

Perhaps you do it in the same way you reconciled with the woman you thought was your mother getting you raped by a cult leader. People have done a whole lot worse to Willow than be an annoying PTA mom she clashed with, but Willow found it in her heart to forgive. She just can’t seem to bring herself to truly forgive Nina. And now, Nina went and did something impulsive and damaging… Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how this story plays out.
