General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) romance with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) may slow down (or even halt) thanks to the arrival of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). While there’s some fun chemistry going on between Diane and Robert, longtime fans can’t forget about the massive sparks that Mr. Scorpio had with Holly, back in the day.

The real root of the reason things didn’t work out with Holly and Robert in the 1980s could simply be attributed to timing. Not to mention Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) strolling back into town to let him know he was a father to Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough). Not wanting to place a wedge into the small family of three, Holly bowed out of their love affair back then. After that, there was a period of time when everyone thought that Holly was dead, and then when everyone thought that Robert was dead.
At the end of the day, things never “worked” out between the two, despite their super couple romance and the love they shared. But could this time be different?

Soap Opera Digest (SOD) recently conducted a poll on their website asking fans who they “thought” would be the best woman for Robert, and the choices were Diane, Holly, and Anna.
A resounding 67% of participants chose Holly Sutton as the “best” better half for Robert, with Diane Miller coming in at 27%, and Anna Devane got a mere six percent (which makes sense, because Scorpio and his ex, make far better friends than lovers). At the end of the day, Robert is an iconic character on the show and deserves another shot at romance. It’s been a long while since he’s been in a relationship, so here’s hoping he can find his “happily ever after”, soon.
