General Hospital Spoilers: Jagger Sets the Stage for Sonny to Take the Fall for Carly — With Jason’s Help
General Hospital Spoilers report Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) is grateful that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) stopped his attackers that night on the waterfront.
Keeping him company and making sure he wasn’t suffering from a concussion was going above and beyond what Carly needed to do as a good samaritan toward a man who has recently been investigating the two most important men in her life — Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
At the same time, Jason knows Jagger has also been investigating Carly for some time now — and has enough evidence to put her away for federal crimes. Now that Jagger appears to be flirting with danger by falling for Carly, he could turn his cheek to the leverage he has over Jason by way of Carly — but only if he still gets something out of the deal.
General Hospital Spoilers — A Change in Perspective
Jagger’s perception of Carly changed overnight. Playing nursemaid to him was purely Carly doing what she would do for just about anyone in trouble who refused to go to the hospital to be checked out after a brutal beating like that.
But to Jagger, it was testimony to the other side of Carly that he hadn’t considered even existed. Moreover, his attraction to Carly — which appears to be mutual — could land him in hot water if he can no longer be objective about his job.
GH Spoilers Suggest Sonny is in Jagger’s Sights
Collecting dirt on Carly was never truly about putting her away. Jagger has been angling for a way to get back at Sonny for decades — ever since Jagger’s little brother, Michael ‘Stone’ Cates (Michael Sutton), passed away from AIDS.
Jagger blames Sonny for the downward spiral his little brother’s life followed. Taking someone away from him who mattered so much — the way Carly has — was previously Jagger’s way to destroy Sonny.
Co-opting Jason took things in a new direction, and now that Jagger is beginning to like Carly, he’ll have to pivot even more to make sure he doesn’t have to drop his vendetta to keep Carly on the hook.
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Makes a Tough Call
Jason isn’t going to condone Carly’s budding relationship with Jagger. It’s probable that he’ll warn her not to even consider the guy a friend. After all, he is an FBI agent. But something tells us Carly isn’t going to be able to resist Jagger’s charms — even if it’s Jason who is warning her.
At the same time, Jason won’t be able to tell Carly the whole truth about what Jagger is up to, given that he’s still reporting to him. Will Jagger decide not to go after Carly — but instead go after Sonny, framing him for Carly’s crimes?
