General Hospital Spoilers: Esme is Devastated as Elizabeth Turns Further in Nikolas’ Favor
General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been scheming every which way she can drum up to try to get Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to set her free, and to no avail. Esme will have to try harder next time if she hopes to bust out of the north tower anytime before her baby is born. Since plotting against Elizabeth and trying to dupe her hasn’t worked, Esme might consider trying to connect with her in a real way, mother to mother. The attempt might backfire, but her bag of tricks is running low and she thinks she has a shot at appealing to the more maternal side of Elizabeth’s personality.
General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Mays a Plea to Elizabeth’s Maternal Side
When Esme asks Elizabeth what she would do if someone tried to take one of her baby boys from her, she might be caught off guard. Elizabeth knows Esme is a manipulative liar, and that almost everything she says is laced with an agenda to get her way in some fashion. So, she might hesitate to get into a real or deep conversation with her at all. She might also treat Esme like she doesn’t deserve the same respect as other mothers due to the decisions she’s made, but inside, does Elizabeth really believe that? Mother to mother, these two just might start to relate to one another, whether Liz likes it and puts it on display for Esme, or not.
GH Spoilers Tease Esme Gets Her Hopes Up as Elizabeth Talks Her Down
As Esme starts to get excited about meeting her child, she will talk about all the normal milestones most pregnant mothers go through. It surprised Elizabeth when she found out Esme was actually taking the prenatal vitamins she gave her, citing Elizabeth told her they were good for the baby in a tone that seemed to question why on Earth she would not take them if that’s the case.
As the pregnancy progresses, Elizabeth is going to take note of more maternal notions coming from Esme, and she will grow to understand her a bit better. Will Elizabeth’s patience and understanding be all that Esme needs to see the error of her ways and give up her plans for revenge in favor of trying to keep her baby?

For some time, Elizabeth is still going to be on Team Nikolas. Esme has such a daunting reputation to overcome with all of Port Charles — especially Elizabeth, given what Esme did to Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton). When Elizabeth and Esme briefly connect, Esme might jump right back to her old ways and try to use the moment to milk Elizabeth for more than Liz thinks she deserves. That’s when Liz will walk out and remind Esme that she never had to worry about losing her children because she’s nothing like Esme.
