General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Esmé Prince, (Avery Kristen Pohl) locked in an unused room of Wyndemere Castle will defend herself. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) can’t just let her stay in there forever with no food or even a bathroom; will she fight him when he returns?

Esmé screams herself hoarse but no one hears her, this whole wing has been obviously locked for years; but she knows that there are secret passages. She remembers hearing about them from Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) when they were together in the school in France. Unfortunately, it looks like when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) lived there he may have had them walled off to keep Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McClain) from exploring them.

Esmé gives up screaming and pounding on the door as she realizes it’s not doing any good; will Nikolas ever get back with that vacuum cleaner? Or will he ever get back, period – will he bring the police with him? He wouldn’t dare; and besides, she’s got her baby bargaining chip, the Port Charles Police wouldn’t look well on a pregnant woman being locked up. Old castle, lots of old books; could there be a clue within any of them or a note a previous prisoner could have left? Some of these books date back to the 1800s and are rotten and falling apart, and she challenges herself to think what might be in them.

Esmé finds a book with an old key in it; the key has to go to something, but what? The door is locked from the outside so it couldn’t possibly go to it – or could it? She decides to try the key and as she feared, it doesn’t work on that door, but keeps it anyway; it might work on something else.

She sees trying to escape out a window is risky, there isn’t even a parapet to climb on out there, it’s straight down into the harbor. Then someone walks outside the room, she can hear them…the door open and she starts rushing Nikolas and defends herself, but he’s too strong!
