General Hospital spoilers reveal Julian Jerome (William deVry) may be Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) father. That’s the question everyone seems to be asking after the surprising turn of events between Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex. What started off as a simple business arrangement quickly turned into a drama-filled saga as the two young men agreed to keep working together as part of a bigger plan to make sure Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stays protected. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) wasn’t a big fan of this idea, but to be fair, she was already resistant to accept how much Dex wanted to keep working for Sonny. Why does he have such a strong interest in being in the mob? It can’t all be about money.

Rumors surrounding Dex’s motive for wanting Sonny to pay have been floating around for months, leaving fans curious and intrigued. While some speculate that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) may have been Dex’s father — or even Sonny himself — there is another possibility to this storyline. In 2021, Sonny and Julian got into a physical altercation on a bridge that would ultimately end in tragedy. As Sonny fired a shot, Julian plummeted into the water and his body was later discovered by officials. In a nutshell, Sonny killed Julian. If Dex is his long-lost son, he might have come back to avenge the father he never knew.
GH Spoilers Suggest His Reasons for Staying on Have Everything to Do with His Dad
Maybe Dex grew up without a father figure and he’s resentful over it. Perhaps whoever his mother is had him convinced the guy was a monster — and at some point in time, she may have been right. While his mom might’ve kept him from his father who never knew about him, that doesn’t mean his mother was the reason he didn’t know his dad in adulthood. Dex could’ve come knocking a long time ago, and it’s not like Julian would’ve been a hard guy to track down. He was known for ending up in the news every now and again. So why didn’t he show up asking for a father-son relationship when he could’ve still had one — particularly when Julian had started to turn his life around after buying Charlie’s?
General Hospital Spoilers — Is Dex Romanticizing the Past?
Is Dex out for revenge? Does he want Sonny’s head on a platter as some sort of testament to how much he loves his father, even in death? If the truth comes out that Dex’s dad was Julian, he’s not going to like what the don has to say about his former enemy — the last man to look him in the eyes before he fell to his icy death. Dex may not know much about who his father was apart from what he could grab in the news reports, which wouldn’t paint him in a good light, but it’s possible that he could be looking back at what could have been with rose-colored glasses.
