General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were just starting to become ride-or-die besties, but now it seems like that ship has sunk. You know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. It seems like Ava has taken that strategy to heart. By making a serious power move to mess with Nina’s life, Ava has shown that no one is safe from her wrath. But why would Ava do this to poor Nina? She’s not going to relish the defeat, but protecting herself and Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) are her top priority, and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will be nudging her along the entire time.

Mason seems to have his finger on the pulse of everything that goes on in the town. Whether it’s to protect a certain interest or make someone pay for their sins, he’s always there, lurking in the shadows. When Ava made the mistake of attacking Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), Mason saw it as an opportunity to gain leverage over her. Holding Nikolas’ supposed death over her head, he’s made sure Ava dances to his tune. Austin has warned Ava that the person pulling Mason’s strings is far harder to contend with, but she might buck their request at first when they demand she levels SonnyCorinthos’ (Maurice Benard) engagement to Nina. But ultimately, she’s going to give in.

Threatening Nina wasn’t how Ava saw this panning out, but Mason has a certain way he wants things to go — and Ava can’t risk her own freedom. Going to jail is not an option, so if she’s not willing to pay for her own mistakes, someone will have to. It looks like it’s Nina’s turn. Ava will threaten her gal pal, promising to tell Sonny the truth if Nina doesn’t first. This is going to leave Nina’s head spinning, but there won’t be time for dramatics. She’ll have to think fast as Ava becomes a much bigger problem than Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is in a coma.
Sonny’s World Will Be Turned Upside Down
Whoever is out to get Sonny sure is working multiple angles to get it done. That would make sense if it’s all going back to Selina Wu (Lydia Look). Sonny suspected that she might have betrayed him a long time ago when Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was killed, but she swore she was his ally, not his enemy. However, she has since entertained Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) help in spying on Sonny, and it seems as though she could be the person ordering Mason around who wants Sonny dead, too. Is destroying Sonny’s happy bliss bubble with Nina just the first of many steps against him to knock him off kilter and make sure she doesn’t see what’s coming?
