General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Becomes the Prime Suspect in Austin’s Murder — Who is Setting Her Up?
General Hospital Spoilers spill Ava Jerome (Maura West) is about to become the prime suspect in Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder. Yes, Austin is on his way out — and there’s no news on whether Howarth will take on yet another role on the Port Charles sudser. For now, Austin is dead and Ava will appear to be the angriest person in his orbit.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was so close to discovering the motherload of information Austin had to share with him. Unable to grant him immunity at the drop of a hat, Austin left the PCPD, and now he’s never to be seen alive again.
Certainly, he had a few enemies circling him in recent days, but when the PCPD only knows of Ava — she’s going to be in deep trouble as she fears the only way to deflect attention is to tell the truth, which will still incriminate her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Was Furious with Austin
Ava couldn’t have been more furious with Austin upon finding out he had been in cahoots with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) all along. He knew Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) wasn’t dead.
He didn’t even attempt to go to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and snuff out the problem — instead leaning into his longtime loyalty to Cyrus. Ava sent him away in hopes of never laying eyes on him again, and as it turns out, she got her way.
GH Spoilers Leak There are Three Probable Culprits
It’s possible that Cyrus is also behind Austin’s death. He may not have been the person who plugged him in the chest and sent him to meet his maker, but he could’ve ordered Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) to take his cousin out.
However, Mason might’ve been bitter and decided to go rogue and handle Austin for himself. Whoever was watching Austin knows he went to the police, and they weren’t going to let him make that mistake twice. Of course, Nikolas also could’ve come back to town to take care of Austin.
Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of the good doc kicking boots with his ex-wife, but it also serves Nikolas well if Ava is framed for Austin’s murder. After all, the only way he can exonerate herself is to tell the truth about where it all began — with her nearly killing Nikolas.
General Hospital Spoilers — The Truth Won’t Set Ava Free
If Ava wants to dodge becoming suspect numero uno, she’ll have to tell the police everything Austin was itching to. Pointing the finger of blame at Cyrus is going to put a new target on Ava’s back.
Of course, she could ask Sonny to handle the problem, but that won’t exonerate her as far as Austin’s murder goes. But telling the truth about Cyrus, Mason, and Nikolas could. It’ll just paint her as guilty of another crime at the same time. Decisions, decisions. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see which one Ava makes.
