General Hospital Spoilers: Could Ned’s Alter Ego Replace Sonny in Nina’s Heart?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is not himself. Waking up from a coma and believing that he has his 90s rockstar persona, Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth), Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is just beside herself with grief. Will she ever see her husband again? Not if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has something to say about it. Ned knows Nina‘s most precious secret — that she turned Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the SEC for insider trading. Nina is the reason Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is spending the next three years of his life in Pentonville. She is set on making sure he never comes back to his senses, which means encouraging every whim “Eddie” wants to go out on. However, things are going to take a difficult turn for Nina when Eddie falls for her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Eddie Takes a Liking to Sonny’s Woman
Nina hasn’t been going out of her way to cozy up to Ned, but she has been encouraging Eddie to follow his dream. While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is working to fix connections in the music industry so that he doesn’t leave town, Nina is secretly working against him in hopes of making sure Eddie takes off and never comes back to Port Charles. Little does she know, her encouragement is going to send the wrong message to Eddie — that she’s interested in being more than his friend.
GH Spoilers Suggest Nina is in a Precarious Position
Nina is about to find herself in a difficult position, and something of a love triangle. Her only intention in supporting Eddie was to make sure he didn’t let Sonny — or anyone else — know what she had done. Instead, Nina will soon realize that Eddie is interested in her — romantically. How is she supposed to hang onto her fiancé — the man she truly loves — while also not alienating or upsetting Eddie? Nina could tell him that she’s not interested, and in her mind that might serve to push Eddie further out of town. But she also can’t risk losing the influence she has over him right now. That means she might need to play into his affections for her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Will the Truth Matter to Eddie?
As is always the case, the truth always comes out in Port Chuck. Nina already knows how Sonny would react if he found out what she did to Carly. But is it possible that having someone to replace Sonny with could stem the pain for her? Could Nina actually fall for Ned in the process of trying to make sure that it never remembers who he is? When Nina put Sonny through this and hid him from his family while he was in Nixon falls, she worried that the truth would come out and he would never want anything to do with her again. While it was a turbulent ride for them to find their way back to one another, Sonny did not banish her from his life. But she knows that won’t happen if he finds out she turned on Carly.
