General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Given A Gift, Gets Pardoned – What Does Nikolas Want?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is given a gift – even though she didn’t accept her nephew Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) offer, he got her pardoned anyway! However, she will be wary of Nikolas’ motivations for his gift of a pardon in upcoming episodes of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis Was Talking To Shawn Butler When The Warden Came in
General Hospital viewers will recall from previous episodes of General Hospital, that Nikolas had offered to pull some strings with the governor of New York to get Alexis a pardon, citing he’d dated his daughter. Alexis, at the time had turned him down. She was talking to Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) at Spring Ridge, after he had brought her a lovely scarf as a gift when the prison warden (uncredited actor) walked in with some news – she had been granted a pardon by the Governor of New York! Alexis was understandably stunned, considering that she had turned Nikolas’ offer down, but Shawn had been trying to talk her into taking the deal.
She and Shawn had been talking about Shawn’s case, which had been dismissed and he’d been freed, but he had wanted to clear his name. Longtime viewers will recall that Shawn had been working as Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) enforcer and he was supposed to shoot Jake Doe (Billy Miller) but Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) had been there at the same time, and Nikolas had hired a hit man to kill her. She was shot but recovered, and although Shawn had his suspicions, there wasn’t enough evidence against Nikolas and he couldn’t get the truth out of him.
General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Visits Alexis Davis Before Her Release
General Hospital viewers will see that Alexis will remain suspicious of Nikolas’ machinations even when he visits her before her release from Spring Ridge. Alexis makes it clear to Nikolas that she doesn’t want to feel like she owes him anything , and he’s a little shocked by that statement. General Hospital viewers also suspect that he’s trying to buy her silence regarding her suspicions that Nikolas was responsible for Hayden’s shooting back then, and for her disappearance more recently.
Nikolas claimed Hayden is still alive, but who knows? Nikolas is definitely aware of his great-aunt’s mistrust of him, and he knows she and Shawn have been working together to solve the mystery of who really shot her back then. In Nikolas’ mind, he may have thought he would receive a big hug for his gift, but maybe she will eventually forgive him, if not right away. Nikolas knows that neither she nor Shawn trusts him, and now he’s even lost his son over what happened back then – or at least it’s a big part of the rift between him and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Now Spencer has totally disowned both him and his legacy and the Cassadine name!
General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Hopes Shawn Butler Will Stay Placated
General Hospital viewers will recall from recent episodes of General Hospital that Nikolas offered to pay off Shawn to get him off his back about Hayden. Shawn didn’t take his payoff directly but finally agreed to have Nikolas fund a nonprofit charity that he chose. This was with a caveat that Nikolas keeps funding the nonprofit every time they need money, which he agreed to, although a but begrudgingly. He hopes that both Shawn and Alexis will stay placated, and quit investigating the past hit he took out on her, and the present fact that she has been missing for over a year with a young daughter who’s heard nothing from her!
Between Violet Barnes Finn (Jophielle Love) not hearing anything from her mother, and her grandmother Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) mysteriously showing up then being murdered, Shawn and Alexis both are very suspicious of Nikolas’ involvement in Naomi’s murder as well. Nikolas called Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and left him a message – not knowing he’s in lockup at the PCPD himself! Nikolas thinks he’s safe for now, but continues to worry about what will happen next!
