General Hospital Spoilers: Alex is Alive, but Who Will Prove it?

General Hospital: Alex Devane (Finola Hughes)

General Hospital spoilers reveal last week, it quickly became clear to anyone who’s been watching GH for at least a few years that Alex Devane (Finola Hughes) is far from dead. But everyone thinks she is; therein lies the rub. How do you offer up a supposedly dead woman to exonerate yourself from murder charges? That’s just what Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is up against, and she’s going to have to figure out a way out of it without the help of her other half, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). While Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) conveniently has sent Valentin off to play with Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain), Anna is going to be lock-up for what appears to be the murder of Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).

General Hospital Spoilers — That Was No Stranger

So far, all we know is what the drone footage showed us. It’s very telling and fortunate that Victor just happened to have a drone surveilling the pier that Lucy wasn’t even supposed to be on. Nonetheless, the video clearly shows a woman showing up and shooting Lucy twice. When it comes into focus, we can see the shooter looks exactly like Anna — and Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) will be quick to insist it is, as will the assistant district attorney who demands Anna be arrested. What will be more convincing to them is that Lucy wasn’t surprised by the person on the pier. She wasn’t shocked at who they were. She knew them, or so she thought. She thought it was Anna.

General Hospital Updates – Alex Never Died

If Alex hasn’t been dead all this time, where has she been? We last saw her on the Haunted Star in late 2020. She had taken Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) — who was pregnant with Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) at the time — hostage at the floating casino bar. A gunfight ensued later and Anna shot Alex in the stomach — two times. Sound familiar? It’s all coming full circle now.

Alex conveniently threw herself off the Haunted Star while bleeding out; she was later presumed dead. We know what that means in the GH world. When Anna puts the pieces together that this is merely Alex’s plan to return the favor, so to speak, she’s going to know the person pretending to be her was her own twin sister, and that’s she obviously still alive.

Anna and Valentin Won’t Solve This Riddle

With Anna behind bars and Valentin unreachable in another country, someone else is going to have to help solve this riddle. Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will do all she can, but her hands will be somewhat tied by the ADA as well. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is going to get his hands dirty on this case, and fortunately for him, WSB agent Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) has returned just in time to help him. Stay tuned for more GH updates, news, and spoilers.

He can plot a scheme as good as any other Cassadine, and he’s certainly wracking his brain right now for the best avenue out of his current conundrum: a lovechild with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Nikolas knows three things for sure: this could be his baby; he doesn’t want to raise a child with Esme and; he doesn’t want Esme to raise his child alone either. Nikolas is going to come to the conclusion that it’s best for everyone involved — especially for himself — if Esme’s leverage over him is removed from the equation at the same time that Esme’s access to his potential child is removed as well. Likewise, Stuart Damon — who played Edward’s son, Alan Quartermaine from 1977 to 2014 — was a fine follow-up to the original Q patriarch. The GH fanbase wept at the news of his death in June of 2021.
