General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: These GH Actors Will Sadly Never Come Back From The Grave
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal they say nothing is sure in life but death and taxes, and they may be right. But in our world, nothing is sure by death, taxes, and General Hospital. Fans have come to rely on GH to be a constant in their lives they can rely on. It’s a comfort thing. The sad truth is, GH has seen the end of many character roles, and we’ve also seen the real-life end of some of their lives. Here are just a few of the beloved GH actors we know we’ll never see again.
General Hospital Spoilers — Shell Kepler Pulls At Our Heartstrings
Shell Kepler played the role of Amy Vining in General Hospital from 1975 to 2002. A sister to Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Amy was known as a gossip and what the cool kids today would label as a drama queen. Longtime viewers like to think of today’s character of Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) as carrying the former Amy’s torch and continuing to be the hospital gossip queen. In 2008, Shell passed away at just 49 years old due to kidney failure.
General Hospital Updates – John Ingle And Stuart Damon Were Everything Quartermaine Men Could Be
The spirit of this longtime C.E.O. of ELQ and leader of the Quartermaine family still lurks in the Q mansion. His presence is known to all who loved him. John Ingle played the role of Edward Quartermaine off and on from 1978 to 2019. Likewise, Stuart Damon — who played Edward’s son, Alan Quartermaine from 1977 to 2014 — was a fine follow-up to the original Q patriarch. The GH fanbase wept at the news of his death in June of 2021.
General Hospital Spoilers — Lindsay Pearlman Is Missing In Action
In February of 2022, Lindsay Pearlman was reported missing by her family. Lindsay didn’t hold a longtime role on the soap, but for two episodes, she played a barista Margaret ‘Maggie’ McMorris. Her remains were found just days later near a popular hiking spot in California.
General Hospital Updates — Jay Pickett’s Time Has Come To A Close
Jay Pickett played the role of Frank Scanlon on Port Charles — a General Hospital spinoff — from 1997 to 2003. He later subbed for Ted King aa Lorenzo Alcazar on GH, and then returned in 2007 for one year in the role of Detective David harper. In July of 2021, Jay passed away as the result of a heart attack while filming scenes for his role in a western titled, Treasure Valley.
General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Lee Was Sugar And Spice, And Everything We Miss
Once upon a time, the Q mansion had a little more cherished sweetness than it does today. Sure, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) makes for a nice Thanksgiving host, and she rallies the troops any time there’s a family dispute to nip it in the bud, but no one held the Quartermaine family together quite like Lila Quartermaine, as played by Anna Lee from 1978 to 2003. Lee passed away following a bout of pneumonia in May 2004.
John Reilly Riled Us Up
The character of Sean Donely as played by John Reilly burst onto the scene in Port Charles in 1984 and our lives were never the same. He also spent some time on the evening GH spinoff, General Hospital: Night Shift. He passed away in January of 2021, and the cast paid tribute to the character with an onscreen memorial service for Sean the following May. Which GH actor do you miss the most? Gone but not forgotten, these stars are forever in our hearts.
