General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Sofia announced her citizenship on her Instagram, “So honored and proud to have become a U.S. Citizen today! I’m so grateful to this country for all the opportunities I’ve been given and for helping me make my dreams come true!” Sofia is a Swedish native that grew up in Stockholm. Sofia traveled the world as a model before she settled in America as an actor. Sofia has appeared in shows such as Two And A Half Men and NCIS. Sofia has been in films as well, such as Jacked Up, Unstrung, and Jurassic City. Mattsson started out playing Russian and Swedish characters before losing her accent and taking on other roles. Mattsson has proven that she can hold her own in any storyline and had handled some pretty rough ones on G.H. Sofia became a fan favorite some time ago and remains so today.

General Hospital’s Sasha showed up in Port Charles and was believed to be Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter. However, it later came out that Sasha was pretending and Nina was furious with her. Sasha got into drugs and overdosed. Sasha ended up having a heart attack and almost died. Sasha dated Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for a while before faking an affair to push him into Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) arms. Sasha slept with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and got pregnant by their son Liam Corbin (uncast role) died because of placental abruption.

General Hospital Updates – Sofia Mattsson’s Family

General Hospital’s Sofia is married to Thomas Payton and has been for five years. The couple tied the knot on the beach in Santa Monica, California in 2016. Mattsson and Payton dated four years before they got married. Payton has worked with Mattsson in some shows as well actually penning some of the Campus Security Episodes that featured Sofia. Payton may not be as well known as Mattsson in the acting world. Mattsson hit her pregnancy very well until it was written into the show. However, Sasha was pregnant after Sofia gave birth so she had to wear a fake pregnancy pillow for some time.
