General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Evan Hofer Spills On Dex’s Hidden “Secret Agent” Agenda

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there is a cipher operating in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob world and he goes by the name of Dex (Evan Hofer)—if that’s even his real name!

Dex debuted in May and since then the fans have been scoping out this mysterious guy, wondering what he’s really up to. Is the easy-on-the-eyes, smooth-talking character really too good to be true? You bet he is, he’s as fake as a three-dollar bill!

General Hospital Spoilers – Who Is Dex And What Does He Want?

Dex is showing himself to be eager to please young minions when he is around Sonny, but in reality, he is Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) secret plant in Sonny’s organization. Why would a son like Michael turn against a loving dad like Sonny? Lots of reasons!

Michael is disgruntled because his dad left the farm for a blonde named Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Nina is also his son’s grandmother and he just went through a nasty trial in which Nina was denied the right to see Wiley. Michael has suddenly turned into the morality police and his dad is his number one perp!

General Hospital Updates – Dex is A Newbie

When he began on the ABC soap, Hofer was in the dark about his character’s agenda and reason for being in Port Charles, New York. “I really just knew that he wanted to work for Sonny,” he said. Then, after about a week he was told by EP Frank Valentini that Dex is actually working for someone else while he works for Sonny. His response? “I’ve got to start working on my double agent stuff!” enthused the newbie. As he says, “Dex was kind of full of it with Sonny, initially.”

One person who is suspicious of Dex is Sonny’s trusted family member, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Will Brando be the one to expose the rat? For now, he is busy tending to his frail wife Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) so Sonny might be all on his own.

Will Dex Be Exposed?

Hofer continued on to say, “I’m a huge fan of GH! I’ve been watching it for years.” According to him, as the plot moves forward, fans will, “learn a lot more about Dex’s backstory, how he got here, why he is the way he is, and I’m excited for that, too.”
