If you did not recognize Charlotte Cassadine this week, there is a good reason for it, a new actress has been cast in the role of Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter.

Scarlett Fernandez was in the role but she let fans know that she was off the show in an Insta post. She debuted in 2016 and quickly made the role her own, bringing the character through many different phases and moods. The role was a challenging one and she gave her all playing a confused, angry girl who had no boundaries when it came to getting what she wanted. We wish her luck in all of her future endeavors.

Something is afoot in the Mayor’s office and it is not good. Heather Mazur returns this week as Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby. The DM should be helping out Port Charles mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) but instead she is stabbing her in the back—we hope that doesn’t become literal at some point!

It seems the sneaky lady is actually working with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and they have no good intentions toward Laura.

The actress played Brenda Brecheen on The Young and the Restless in 2019 and has appeared on the primetime series Good Trouble and Tacoma FD.

We know now that it was Victor who was after Laura and her brother Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). Laura thought they were in danger from their brother Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But a jailhouse visit to the ponytailed mobster convinced Laura that he is telling the truth when he says he had nothing to do with the attempt on Martin’s life. Oh, and he also found God in jail, or rather, God found him–He wouldn’t hurt a fly!
