General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a fan fave is back in Port Charles, New York. Kristina Wagner has reprised her role as Aztec Princess Felicia Scorpio and fans could not be happier. The character debuted in the 80s and Wagner has come back to the show on contract.

How did it come to be that Felicia is back in 2022? Last year the actress was a part of a special tribute episode to the late John Reilly (Sean Donely). At that time EP Frank Valentini reached out to her manager about the possibility of a return, and the rest is history! According to Wagner, “My personal life has been really busy, but I have this new space where I need to kind of occupy my mind with other things. And this [comeback] is a perfect avenue for that.”

“I’m really thrilled about it,” she added. “I’m actually really excited about just having some creativity in my life again, and being back into this environment has been riveting. This show is a well-oiled machine and we’re moving at light speed. It’s a very different environment to work in than what I’m used to — and it’s hard! It’s very challenging but I’m up for the challenge and I’m thrilled to be there.”

As it turns out we might have seen Felicia earlier if not for the COVID-19 pandemic. As she explains, “I wasn’t too anxious to come in at different times; I wasn’t too anxious to see if this was going to be a risk for me. They wanted to include me in Peter [Wes Ramsey] and Maxie’s [Kirsten Storms] wedding, but I was a little hesitant, which is why that didn’t happen.”

Maybe that was for the best, for Felicia at any rate. Maxi and Peter are now mortal enemies and there is the case of their missing daughter to try and figure out.

Overall Kristina is as enthused as her fans at the prospect of coming back to the ABC sudser: “There’s a lot of opportunity. And I like what we’re doing now; I like how they’ve just sort of, like, put me on the canvas and it’s created a lot of color for the story that’s currently going on. I think the fans are going to like it. I think this is going to be fun!”
