General Hospital spoilers tease that the stress of baby Liam Corbin’s (uncast infant) death could either bring Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) closer together, or drive them apart. Unfortunately, it sounds like it may drive them apart in future episodes of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Will Brando And Sasha’s Romance Serve As A Painful Reminder Of Liam’s Death?
General Hospital viewers could literally feel Brando and Sasha’s hearts breaking, as well as their own, when the saddest Christmas story ever told played out on their television screens! This General Hospital storyline ranks right up there with BJ Jones’ (Brighton Hereford) death and her heart being implanted in little Maxie Jones, (Kirsten Storms) on the tragedy meter! But Liam’s death didn’t have any bright side to it – his tiny heart didn’t save another life, and there was no way to transplant a tiny brain into him.
No such procedure exists, and even if it did, many things that are tied to a person’s identity are in their brain and someone else’s brain would have made Liam someone else! For now, Brando and Sasha are leaning on each other, and others in Brando’s family such as Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Maurice Benard, Laura Wright). Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) Sasha’s former fake mother has also forgiven her and has been there for her like she was when she thought Sasha was her real daughter. But will Brando and Sasha’s continued romance only serve as a painful reminder of their newborn’s death?
General Hospital Spoilers – Brando And Sasha Both Wanted A Family, But This Was Unexpected
General Hospital viewers will remember that Brando and Sasha both wanted a family, but this pregnancy was unplanned and unexpected! Brando and Sasha were interested in each other and attracted, no doubt, as Brando defied Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) orders to save her life! General Hospital viewers will remember that she had a heart attack when she overdosed on Cyrus’ new opioid that he’d hoped to market through General Hospital!
Cyrus told Brando, who was undercover for Sonny as Cyrus’ drive, to dump her at the waterfront or somewhere to die, but he rushed her to General Hospital instead. Once Sasha got off drugs, with a great deal of help from Carly and others, she had a backseat romp with Brando but she never planned to have a baby with him! It was the pregnancy that really made them a committed couple, so it won’t be surprising that down the road they might split! Staying together might just remind them of their loss, and for Sasha especially, it might just be too painful to see Brando every day, as it could be for Brando to see Sasha every day.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sasha May Head Down A Dark Road Of Depression, While Brando Might Replace Jason Morgan
Another thing that General Hospital viewers might expect, is for Sasha to head down a dark road of depression, although she may not spiral into drug use again. Postpartum depression is common, but losing the baby would make things much worse! Sasha is an orphan in this world – her only living relative was Liam, and now he’s gone so she will feel more alone than ever! She has stayed in Port Charles mainly because of her job, which may be increasingly difficult for her to do, even if she’s given a generous paid leave of absence to give her time to recover.
General Hospital could even see Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) who brought her to Port Charles to begin with, reach out to her in his own grief of finding out Bailey Quartermaine (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) isn’t his daughter. Sasha may appreciate his support, but it won’t exactly be the same. One of the main reasons Brando didn’t take Sonny up on his offer to work for him is because Sasha didn’t want him too because of the family danger, and Brando didn’t for the same reason. Now that Brando doesn’t have a child to worry about and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is presumed dead, he may take Sonny up on his offer; continuing to work in that garage may also serve as a painful reminder of the night Liam was conceived in the back seat of that jeep!

They need a new story line for Sasha and Brando. Maybe this…. Brando and Sasha leaves town together and years down the road they come back but with a child in toe.
