General Hospital Spoilers: Red Flags Arise When Marty Turns Down a Heavily-Compensated Case
General Hospital spoilers claim the SEC case against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is only getting more complicated, as their lawyer Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is forced to part ways with one of them due to a conflict of interest. This leaves both Carly and Drew vulnerable to the ruthless SEC’s tactics, and they may have to turn on each other to get out of this mess — spelling the potential end of their relationship as they know it.
Adding another layer of complications, Drew will seek help from Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight), who informs him that he can’t take the case due to a conflict of interest as well. With Marty seemingly unable to help, Diane is going to dig her heels into figuring out why. All the while, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be on standby and ready to turn himself in if it means keeping Carly out of jail. Somebody warn Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew and Carly Put Their Heads Together
Drew can’t seem to stop speculating who might have turned him into the SEC. Although NEd Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) made the most sense at first, it’s not going to when he learns that Marty is somehow connected to this mess. Ned has plenty of attorneys on the Quartermaine dime and Marty definitely isn’t one of them.
It’s going to be difficult for Drew to imagine Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) concocted this plan before he fled to Greenland to take down his father, but it’s going to start looking that way given his history of working with Marty. Drew would like to think they’ve both grown enough to be past such childish games, but Valentin’s past behavior suggests that he has been known to stop at nothing in his pursuit of whatever he wants; maybe that’s ELQ. Could this attack be yet another attempt by Valentin to regain control of the company? Why would he target Carly too?
GH Spoilers Say Sonny Confides in Carly
With Valentin being the first person to have recommended the Pikeman Group to Sonny, it might stand to reason that he has set everyone up to take an epic fall. Knowing that Valentin might be linked to the issue could lead Sonny to think this entire thing was a set-up and that Carly is really just being targeted because of her connections to him. He could press her even more to turn on him to keep the mother of his kids out of jail, but Carly isn’t likely to go for that — not yet anyway. Still, the story could shift if Sonny learns why Valentin has come under suspicion. Learning that Marty is connected to the report could change everything for Sonny.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nina is in Hot Water
Sonny may not have thought twice about Nina’s call to her attorney on Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) wedding day, but it’s going to mean a lot more to him in hindsight. Sonny might not be ready to spill the beans on his private thoughts before he gets a chance to confront Nina, but it’s going to leave him particularly rattled thinking she may have been the one who put all of this in motion.
