General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Won’t Take No for an Answer — But Will Stalling the Divorce Help Her?
General Hospital spoilers exclaim Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) doesn’t want a divorce, but keeping her marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) intact when it’s the last thing he wants isn’t going to be an easy task.
With poor guidance from a possibly not-so-well-intentioned friend, Nina could forge ahead with plans to keep her reluctant husband on the hook for as long as possible, even if she only further alienates him in the process.
Will hanging on too hard push Sonny away — and potentially into the arms of another woman who is waiting in the wings for the lonesome mobster who is still licking his wounds?
General Hospital Spoilers — Bad Advice Abound
Falling on such a hard time without many friends in her corner, Nina has managed to align herself with her ex-husband, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), who has given her a fair helping of advice that isn’t likely to lead to a happy ending for Nina.
At least, not a happy ending with Sonny — but that could be exactly what Valentin is hoping for. Telling Nina not to give in and give Sonny the divorce he wants may backfire in his face — right after it does the same to Nina.
GH Spoilers Report Nina Fights for Her Marriage
Dragging her feet in hopes that she can give Sonny more time to remember what they mean to each other won’t go as Nina has planned. Besides, didn’t she get the memo when she saw him without his wedding ring?
Sonny has already given up. As far as he’s concerned, he’s single and ready to mingle. Valentin might manage to convince Nina she can fight for a marriage that the other person has checked out of, but she can’t. Meanwhile, every painful minute of it, Nina will need someone else to lean on, and Valentin will be there to offer his shoulder.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Never Stays Single for Long
At some point, Sonny is going to find himself interested in someone else. He may not even wait until the threat against his life is flushed out. Instead, hooking up with someone in the interim could be the kind of release he’s looking for.
It makes sense that this love affair might be a brief fling with Ava Jerome (Maura West) — just long enough to cripple Nina further as she hangs onto the shreds of her tattered marriage.
