General Hospital Spoilers: Mason’s Pretty Upset With Cyrus – Will He Flip On His Boss In Exchange For Witness Protection?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) pretty upset with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) right now.
Because of Cyrus’ wishy-washiness about killing Ava Jerome (Maura West) and changing his mind, Mason’s got targets on his back-might he flip on him in exchange for witness protection?
General Hospital Spoilers: Targets On His Back
Of course, Mason never dreamed anyone would find out where he had Ava captive and where he was going to kill her-but he never dreamed Cyrus would change his mind either.
Mason had warned Cyrus that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) didn’t want Ava killed, and Cyrus said he was the boss, not his nephew-so Mason kidnapped Ava.
He had her in the basement of one of the Gatlin properties in Pautuck until he was told to take her to kill her, and drove her to a remote location.
As he took her far out in the country to where a cliff was he could throw her off, Cyrus called it off! Then in short order he found himself in a trap-Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) henchman Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and his son Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) shot him!
GH Spoilers: Stuck In A Hospital Bed, On The Way To Prison?
So now Mason’s stuck in a hospital bed, handcuffed to the bedrails and hooked up to all kinds of monitors, lucky he isn’t dead, but he’s literally in a bind!
He’s still mad at the “boss” Cyrus because while Cyrus is now free, Mason’s likely bound for Pentonville unless he does something drastic.
Mason has worked for Cyrus for several years, he was one of the henchmen who kept TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) captive, that’s how they were leveraging Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
Every time TJ, now a doctor at GH comes in his room to check him he’s afraid he’ll recognize him, and time is ticking away.
General Hospital Spoilers: Mason Gatlin Turns The Tables On Cyrus Renault?
Mason has worked for Cyrus for so many years he knows about Jordan and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) and some others in the DEA trapping Cyrus and setting him up.
That was the only way that they could catch him, and Mason bets they’d still like to punish him for some of those crimes-many not beyond the statute of limitations.
Mason wants revenge on Cyrus, and this might be the way to do it, try to make a deal with the district attorney to testify in exchange for witness protection.
Flipping on Cyrus, and possibly even on his cousin Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) unless he can convince him to flip on him too might be Mason’s way out. He calls for a nurse, and then asks to talk to the DA.
