GH spoilers hint that while Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is currently off-onscreen, there’s always potential for a return. Past portrayer, Marcus Coloma, recently talked to Soaps.com about the potential of reprising his infamous Port Charles character in the near future.
GH Spoilers: Why Did Marcus Coloma Abruptly Leave The Soap?
As actor Marcus Coloma was wrapping up his Nikolas Cassadine stint late last year, he caught COVID-19, thus forcing him to take a hiatus from the show.
Actor Adam Huss stepped in, but due to the awful after-effect symptoms, like brain fog, he was not able to return to the soap to fully complete his final scenes.
Huss stepped in for the save and has appeared as Nik Cassadine, here and there when storyline opportunities arise, since. The good news is, Coloma has fully recovered from COVID and is back to 100 percent.
The even better news is that Nikolas is not dead (like some believed at one point), but very much alive.
GH Spoilers: Marcus Coloma Thinks About It All The Time
When asked about a possible GH return, Coloma notes he would come back and he’s thought about it so much. He notes that the real stars of the show are the fans. While different actors, directors, and producers have been on the show, the one thing that has never changed is the fans.
He goes on to explain that he’s met many GH viewers over the years, and despite the show’s highs and lows, the majority never consider dropping the soap because of slumps in storylines or if big characters leave. He states that the biggest appeal to being on GH is the fans.
Coloma could return as Nikolas, or possibly a new character? This isn’t uncommon for the soap to do, as actors Roger Howarth and Michael Easton know all too well.
