General Hospital Spoilers: Laura is Worried About Spencer, and with Good Reason
General Hospital spoilers hint Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is growing extremely worried about her grandson, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). He’s always thought of himself as smarter than the average Joe and capable of staying out of the fray of his familial elders’ dirty deeds. He knows Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) isn’t a fan favorite around Port Charles, but he likes him enough and respects the kind of power he commands. Spencer envies that, and he’s currently feeling rather powerless against Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) — who holds all the cards as Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) mother. Will Spencer bend to Victor’s will in trade for seeing to it that Esme is extricated from the situation? Laura has every reason to be concerned.
General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Worries Spencer is Too Impatient
Spencer has always been a demanded boy, and perhaps he sees Victor’s ability to get what he wants on command as appealing. He might seek to be like him and think learning from the best is the ideal way to do it. However, the imminent concern is that Victor has his own agenda. Nothing in this life is free and Spencer should know that by now, even though he’s practically had everything handed to him. Laura is concerned that he’s not going to have the fortitude to put up with Esme in the long-run and he might do something reckless and impulsive to get custody of baby Ace.
GH Spoilers Suggest Esme Doesn’t Make it Easy
Of course, Esme isn’t going to make any of this a breeze for Spencer or Victor. She puts up a good fight, and her argument is consistent — she doesn’t remember anything about who she used to be but she’s not that person anymore. All she wants is to be a stable and solid mother for her son. Who can argue with that? Certainly not Spencer, who has only recently been released from prison for his second felony conviction.
General Hospital Spoilers — Victor Makes it Look Too Easy
On the other hand, Victor is going to make it seem like getting rid of Esme is easy as pie, and that’s going to be a very tempting offer for Spencer, who can’t seem to shake her or her commitment to her son. Most people would think that’s a good thing — people like Laura, but Spencer wants Ace all to himself. He doesn’t want Esme around reminding him of how he was such a fool to let her into his life so she could target his family and rip them apart.
He definitely doesn’t need her around mucking up his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). If Victor thinks he can do away with Esme promptly, Spencer probably won’t be shy about taking his help. Of course, taking Esme out is Victor’s preferred way of dealing with problematic people, and that course of action could shape thievery person Spencer becomes. Is he about to shed his young manhood his grandmother is so proud of and trade it in for a Cassadine cloak of armor that she’s seen spellbind and ruin so many other men she’s loved?
