General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) are about to take one of their biggest steps since either of them have been in Port Charles. While no one can deny that these two people care deeply for one another, it hasn’t been in a romantic way in a very long time. And it’s not about romance now, either. But nevertheless, Carly and Jason are inching closer to a wedding.

As viewers know, with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) presumed dead, there has been a power vacuum in the Corinthos organization. When Jason wasn’t able to attend a meeting of the five families, Carly had to step up and assert herself as the head of the organization. But Carly isn’t really a mob princess, as much as she wants everyone to believe she is. So once Jason was once again available, the other families just assumed that Jason would push Carly out. That hasn’t happened. And the only way for the two of them to show a strong front is to combine their lives, literally. A marriage between Jason and Carly would show the other families how strong their leadership is. An attack on one would be an attack on the other.

General Hospital Spoilers – But In Nixon Falls, Sonny Corinthos Is Alive And Well!

What neither Jason nor Carly know is that Sonny is actually still alive and living just a few hours away. He has amnesia and is calling himself “Mike”. And even though he has made a life for himself in Nixon Falls, his memory will likely soon be coming back. So what happens when Sonny remembers who he is? There will be fallout with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to be sure, but as much as Carly would hope that is where Sonny’s anger will be focused, the truth is that Sonny will likely be even angrier when he finds out his wife married his best friend, regardless of the reason why.

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Sonny Corinthos Really Accept That Carly Corinthos And Jason Morgan Did The Only Thing They Could?

It seems likely that once Sonny regains his memory and comes back to Port Charles, that there will be some huge confrontations that may not go as one might suspect. Just because Sonny has his memory back doesn’t mean he will even want to return to the organization. He has found peace in Nixon Falls as a bartender, and like it or not, a genuine attraction to Nina. And once he realizes that Jason and Carly have moved on so easily, he may do exactly the same thing. Could he leave the “business” forever? That seems unlikely, but that doesn’t mean he will be in any hurry to take his old life back!
