General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Devane Comforts A Distraught Valentin Cassadine
General Hospital spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will comfort a distraught Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane Knew Something Was Wrong
General Hospital viewers will recall that Anna knew something was wrong when she called Valentin to tell him Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was in custody. The fact is, Valentin had cried and cried over finding out that he wasn’t “Bailey Lois Quartermaine’s” (Scarlett and Harper Bloom) birth father earlier in the day. General Hospital viewers will remember that he was extremely angry at Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) but he was just as hurt – he grieved “Bailey’s” loss as if it were his own child and that she had died.
Anna, meantime, had to explain to Drew Cain, (Cameron Mathison) Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that the specialized WSB search team failed to detect a heartbeat in the rubble of the collapsed tunnel where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had last been seen. It was far too dangerous to attempt a search and rescue with hands-on personnel. Now that the business on Cassadine Island has been concluded, Anna returns to Port Charles and makes a beeline to Valentin at the first possible opportunity!
General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Opens Up
General Hospital viewers will see Valentin open up to Anna, and even though he still hurts at the baby daddy betrayal, to think Brook Lynn actually used the child as a pawn to get him to give up ELQ shares is even worse! Anna is galled at the revelation, and she agrees that Brook Lynn should have, and could have, found a different way. But, in some ways, some Quartermaines can be worse than some Cassadines – Anna is reminded of the true story of how Brook Lynn’s grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) withheld her father’s heart medication as he was in the throes of a heart attack – over money!
Valentin raises his eyebrows at that remark! General Hospital viewers will recall that Brook Lynn is the most like Tracy of all the other Quartermaines! Valentin tells Anna that he never got the chance to spend time with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) when she was a baby, she practically was raised by her nanny Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) because he was always on the run. This was also to protect her from Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).
General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Saw “Bailey Quartermaine” As A Second Chance
General Hospital viewers will recall that Valentin was still working as a mercenary prior to the death of Helena and he hadn’t even known his daughter existed right away. Charlotte was supposed to be Stavros Cassadine’s (Robert Kelker Kelly) and his sperm was harvested without his knowledge. But Valentin tells Anna that as soon as he knew of Charlotte’s existence, and that he was her birth father he used his spy skills to track down the doctor that had used Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) stolen embryos in Charlotte’s creation, and from there he tracked Charlotte’s location. Once Helena was dead he summoned Claudette and she brought Charlotte to Port Charles, where Valentin had taken over Wyndemere Castle after the presumed death of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
General Hospital viewers will remember that Charlotte was three or four years old by that time, and Valentin tells Anna he thought of “Bailey” as a second chance to raise a child from the time she was born! Anna hugs him and understands, because she didn’t have Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) for a good part of her childhood and teenage years either.
