General Hospital Poll: Was Sonny’s Return All You Hoped It Would Be?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that all is right in Port Charles again now that everyone’s favorite mobster/coffee importer is back to run the town. Carly (Laura Wright) has her coffee again, Jason (Steve Burton) is everyone’s second thought again, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) even changed his shirt and decided not to be Julian Jerome (William deVry) anymore. General Hospital Spoilers: Where Was The Corinthos Drama?
It feels like nothing changed in the nearly full year that Sonny Corinthos has been gone. He can just pick up his life where he left off with his business, his kids, and Carly with no thought of the fact that he walked in on Carly and Jason Morgan in HIS bedroom in the dark right after they got married. Nope, it doesn’t seem to hit him that this was more than just a strategic marriage. Sonny knows he is king and nobody could ever replace him.
He’s not even thinking about anything he left behind in Nixon Falls because there was no way Port Charles ever went on without him. But where was the drama? Shouldn’t there have been more of it? Shouldn’t Carly and Jason have been more excited to see him? Or were they just disappointed?
GH Spoilers: What Was The Point Of The Jarly Wedding?
GH made such a big deal out of Jason and Carly deciding they were in love and would have a real marriage that it may have been more exciting to have had them consummated their marriage and Sonny walked in on that. His rage would have been off the charts and it could have been heart-stopping drama, but all we got was Carly fainting and then taking off her new wedding rings for the old ones.
In fact, the only one of Sonny’s kids to show any real emotion worthy of a soap opera back-from-the-dead reveal was Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth), who really seemed to miss her dad despite doing all that missing off-screen since this is the first time we’ve seen her in months on end.
