General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Parry Shen opened up about his character, Brad Cooper, and his familial connection to the mob. The actor revealed that he learned about his alter ego’s mob family ties a while ago.
Parry Shen’s Thoughts On Brad’s Mob Ties
General Hospital viewers who attended the soap’s Fantasy Events via Zoom got the chance to ask about Shen’s character, specifically Brad’s mob family ties.
The actor revealed that his character’s ties to the crime family were introduced a while ago. He shared that he knows the exact date since he records all the episodes he’s done for the daytime drama. The spreadsheet serves as a guide that allows him to check the synopsis, so he’s always updated about what’s happening to his character.
The actor said that Brad’s mob family ties were introduced last December 15, 2013.
“I got a script and that’s when I met Lucas [Jones] and we both start talking and we start connecting because we find out that he’s from a mob family [his biological father is Julian Jerome] and I said yeah and I kind of throw it aside, I’m from a mob family too,” he shared.
“The Wus, I was adopted,” the actor shared.
The Wus were part of the Asian Quarter. He recalled that when he got the script, he already knew what that meant. The others, including Finola Huges, who had read the script, were excited to learn that Brad was part of a “badass family.”
Shen’s Excitement To Work With Lydia Look
In 2015, Shen recalled Lydia Look coming on the daytime drama as Selina Wu. He was extremely excited to learn that her character was related to his alter ego and hoped that their characters would have some sort of interaction.
But unfortunately, the show’s writing regime changed, and it affected that storyline. He thinks that Brad’s storyline is coming back now as the soap’s writers recall that it was already prepared and that they can finally put it back front and center.
General Hospital Spoilers: Will Carly Lie To Drew About DNA Results
In upcoming scenes, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) may lie to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about the DNA results. She may remember the things that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) said about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) smothering Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) with her love.
Given that Drew is the type of person who always tells the truth, Carly may lie to him about the DNA results and claim that it was a false alarm. Her lies and secrecy may put a dent on their relationship once Drew finds out that she didn’t tell him the truth.
