General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Why Fans Have An Issue Accepting Nelle As Nina’s Daughter?
General Hospital (GH) Spoilers suggest that Nelle Jerome (Chloe Lanier) will remain Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) daughter. However, fans still have an issue with this after all this time. Why is it so hard for fans to accept that Nelle was Nina’s daughter?
General Hospital Spoilers – Fans Wanted Willow Tait
General Hospital’s Nina and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) have clashed from day one. This is a huge part of the reason that fans believed Willow was Nina’s daughter adopted by Harmony Miller (Inga Cadrenal). Also, every soap parentage reveal starts with a volatile relationship between the parent and child. Nina and Willow hated each other and fought constantly over Nina’s stepdaughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Fans assumed that Nina and Willow were mother and daughter and refuse to accept that they aren’t.
Nelle Is Presumed Dead
General Hospital’s Nelle is presumed dead and fans dislike this option. Fans have to wonder why the writers would give Nina a daughter that has already been killed off. Fans have to wonder what the point is in having Nina look for her child for seven years for nothing. It seems cruel to give Nina her daughter after she’s dead. Fans are not happy with this decision. Willow is alive and lives in Port Charles.
Willow would make Nina a good daughter and fans were looking forward to them developing a relationship. Nelle and Nina already had a love-hate relationship because Nina knew that Nelle couldn’t be trusted. After Nina testified against Nelle, it only makes her feel worse to learn that she helped her daughter lose custody of her child before she took off out of town and ended up dead. Nina and Nelle being mother and daughter just serves to hurt Nina more.
GH Spoilers – Kiki Jerome Was Another Favorite
General Hospital fans really wanted Kiki Jerome (ex-Hayley Erin) to be Nina’s daughter as well. After all, Ava Jerome (Maura West) raising her lover’s child would have been a good story. Unfortunately, the writers didn’t take that route either. Nina and Kiki got along well and would have been amazing as mother and daughter. Nina would have certainly treated Kiki better than Ava did as well. General Hospital writer missed two very good opportunities to give Nina a daughter just to turn around and give Nelle family in Port Charles.
Was making Nelle be Nina’s daughter a waste of time? Could this story have been written so much better with anyone but Nelle has Nina’s child? Will fans ever accept the fact that Nelle didn’t steal that necklace and she is Nina’s daughter? Will Nelle return to be reunited with her mother soon?
